Arctic Blast in January 2024
After being holed up for a few days at home, I ventured out today on my weekly jaunt to Pt Defiance park. There were sheets of ice on the road, but almost no snow accumulation. I have never seen this pond in the park frozen over the past 5 to 6 years.
Today was a cold, sunny and beautiful day. As I looked over the ferry terminal towards Vashon island, I was somehow reminded of my trip to a sunny and warm location - the Big Island of Hawaii many years ago.
The water temperature was 82 degrees. Below is a video of night dive to see Manta Rays.

It will get warm soon - for winter: 😃. I am hoping to visit some parts of Olympic National Park this winter.
